The 20,000 tonne capacity Clinker Bulk Store was required at Hope Construction Materials Ltd to provide them with additional Clinker storage, to enable them to provide consistent supply of cement to the construction industry.

The bulk store was a design and construct project in a restricted site area with minimum disruption to the clients operations. As a Bulk store the works included formation preparation, wall foundations, 4m high retaining walls, structural steel and cladding. The client required a single access point with roller shutter door and personnel door. It was important to minimise condensation to prevent damage to the product but without any ventilation to reduce dust escaping due to the sensitive national park area.

As Principal Contractor ATC worked with design partner HBPW Consulting to ensure the most cost effective design.
