The scope of works included the re-instatement of the fire damaged Accolade Foods processing building. Enabling works incorporated the removal of the existing asbestos materials and the installation of a new profile sheet roof incorporating the strengthening works to the existing roof trusses, installation of new windposts connecting the roof members to the concrete floor slab to the South Elevation. Installation of a new roller shutter door was required to the South Elevation along with a number of metal fire escape doors and frames.

In addition a new “annex” store was constructed to the east elevation in concrete blockwork and clad in profile sheeting. Other works included the re-instatement of the “foodsafe” internal panels (Kingspan) to the walls and ceilings and modifications to the 1st floor mess room fire escape door to comply with current Building Regs.

The project was completed in February 2009.
