Godfreys Anaerobic Digestion Plant

At A Torn Construction Ltd we are proud of our knowledge, expertise and experience in the construction of AD Plants. We work closely with our partners on all projects to achieve the best outcome possible – working alongside Birch Energy Ltd we completed this 0.5 megawatt AD Plant in 2015.

The project included:
• A 7,400 cubic metre lagoon, complete with a liner and leak detection system
• Bunded area with liner for the digester tank
• Clamp for storage of 8,000T of maize and beet
• Construction of a dirty water drainage facility with 180cubic metre underground tank
• Reinforced bases for the CHP container
• Construction of a dry feeder, dryer, transformer, weighbridge, office and pump containers.
• Service trenches and access chambers for services
• Surfacing and landscaping

Working with our design partners HBPW Consulting it was essential to carry out detailed surveys of the ground conditions prior to any work being carried out.

The plant is up and running successfully.
